ABOUT ABOUT

We’re calling for employers in our sector and community representatives to join this interactive session to connect, share and collaborate.

This session will form part of our collective local effort to improve the conditions of our local sector to recruit, train, support and retain a more representative, inclusive, skilled and trusted workforce ready to support our local population.

Our local Skills Plan and our Local Skills Accountability Board was the first of it’s kind to be launched across the UK. This collaborative work involving local employers, regional and national partners provides solid foundations to achieve the vision of building a workforce that is ready and able to support the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

This event will provide the opportunity to hear what some local employers have done already to make a step change around this.

You can gain updates from education and employability partners about how to connect with them, but most of all, representatives from under-represented groups within our workforce will be on hand to share their lived experiences in relation to working and participation in the local sector, as well as opportunity to better connect us all, as we all strive to realise our collective local vision.

This session will provide you with opportunities to connect directly with employers, community representative as well as others working in the sector.
