ABOUT ABOUT

The UK's cultural sector is at the forefront of innovative approaches to financing cultural production using a mixture of public sector funding, grants from charitable trusts, commercial trading and individual donations, but the balance is shifting in the face of Governmental austerity policies. DMU academics Jennie Jordan and Ruth Jindal will present their research into the change management processes faced by organisations facing grant cuts.

They are joined by Vanessa Rawlings-Jackson, CEO of Cultivate an charity specialising in organisational development within the creative industries and Alex Bliss, from the Institute of Fundraiser¹s Cultural Sector Network, who will consider the potential to develop corporate and individual giving to the sector.

This event showcases and disseminates work from De Montfort's Creative and Cultural Industries Group and their work on the Business Ecologies of Creative and Cultural Industries. As such, this event will disseminate new work to assist the continued growth of Leicestershire's creative and cultural businesses.
