The Leicester Stand Up Challenge returns for 2017 to help demonstrate that Leicester & Leicestershire are fun places to do business! Held during the Leicester Business Frestival at the Y theatre in Leicester city centre the Stand Up Challenge will see 8 prominent local business leaders take to the stage and perform their first ever 5 minutes of stand-up comedy, all in aid of charity.
The event is the perfect opportunity to treat your staff, clients and customers to a vibrant and unique networking event and show your support for the brave contestants. All proceeds from the night will support local charity Big Difference Company (registered charity 1135167), which runs the annual Leicester Comedy Festival each February and aims to improve the health and wellbeing of communities accross the UK. Recent projects have included engaging with people living with arthritis to encourage them to live healthy lives and exercise as well as projects working with older people and children & young people. Leicester Comedy Festival is the longest running comedy festival in Europe and has an annual economic impact to Leicester & Leicestershire of £3million every year. The main February festival offers exciting ways for local businesses to associate themselves with "one of the leading brands in the UK public arts"(the Times) and Stand Up Challenge has rapidly become a key date in the annual business calender.
The Leicester Stand Up Challenge is supported by Leicester Business School at De Montford University, in association with Leicester Mercury.
Doors open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 7.00pm. Tables for 10 guests are available at £360 (including VAT) and include a welcome drink on arrival. Individual balcony seats are available at £21 (including VAT).
